We are MomMirror — and we know how loud it can get in your head.
We’re a small, young team from Switzerland — Simon and Andrea, parents of a 2.5-year-old daughter. Even though we thought we were prepared, parenthood hit us with full force and showed us how intense this season really is. Especially mothers carry a lot of responsibility. What looks like it’s “working” on the outside can feel very different inside: too much responsibility, too little rest, a head full of to-dos — and that nagging feeling of never being enough.
I’m Andrea, 30 years old, a mom — and I know this mental load that isn’t “just stress,” but constant organizing, thinking ahead, planning. And with it comes self-doubt: Am I doing this right? Is it enough? Why is self-care so hard even though I need it so much?
Our story: between love, joy, exhaustion, and the constant “Am I good enough?”
I also bring my professional perspective: I’m a former nurse specializing in children, family, and women’s health. Topics like baby blues, postpartum depression, and the mental burden mothers carry were long familiar to me — and still I was surprised by how draining motherhood can be even beyond the postpartum period.
Especially in a society shaped by performance pressure, comparison, and often loneliness, so much feels like a quiet battle you’re just expected to “somehow manage.”
Simon has been a software developer for over 20 years and has been self-employed since 2025. We quickly realized: if technology can help anywhere, it’s where everyday life leaves little time but a lot of support is needed.
Not with even more pressure to be perfect. But with something that truly fits into family life: small, doable steps.
We want to give mothers a simple tool to deal better with mental load and self-doubt — and at the same time raise awareness of women’s mental health.
With MomMirror, we want to help mothers integrate mental health and self-care into their day with simple, practical methods. Our app should offer small, positive, encouraging impulses — so they don’t just sound good, but actually work when the day is full and energy is low.
In the long run, we want to be more than a digital tool. Our overarching goal is to
Because we believe: being a mother can be challenging — but you don’t have to carry it alone.
If you recognize yourself in parts of our story: you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to wait until “everything gets easier” to take good care of yourself. MomMirror is here to strengthen you in the small ways — step by step, day by day.
